First of all, how cute is Cameron Diaz? Having interviewed and interacted with her in the past, I can say without a doubt she is one of the most perky, easy-going and multifaceted actresses in the industry.

I’ve noticed that while she’s fully embraced the relaxed, comfort-chic California vibe when it comes to dressing off-camera, it’s all about her accessories. Nothing punches up humdrum tees, jeans and UGG boots than a punctuation mark in the form of a discreetly conspicuous handbag (yes, such a thing does exist).

To wit, check out Chanel’s Cocoon bag (the one Lily Allen modeled in the Chanel campaign last fall), which Cameron was spotted sporting on a recent errand run. How much do you love that she chose a fiery red over boring black? Aside from a subtle CC logo emblazoned on the handle, nothing about this bag screams Chanel bags–which is to be appreciated in these economic times.

Money aside, this lightweight nylon-and-lambskin bag, secured by a metal clasp on top, is as practical as it stylish: inner pockets galore, super soft handles, waterproof and easy to wipe down! (It also doubles as a fabulous pillow in case you were wondering).

If  Chanel handbags made the Cocoon in a larger messenger style, it would be the perfect diaper bag. The best part? For those days you want a more subtle approach, the Cocoon fully reverses to a subdued navy with red trim.

It took me a while, but I’ve finally found a reason to like The Hills! You see, if The Hills had never existed, then we wouldn’t have been introduced to master of the blank stare Whitney Port, who wouldn’t have ever gotten a chance to flit off to New York City and start her very own show, The City.

If she hadn’t ever done that, then we probably would have never met Kelly Cutrone, who is pretty much made of awesome and is also going to be starring in her own show, Kell On Earth, which will be premiering tonight and which I will be recapping for PurseBlog. So really, The Hills has finally yielded something positive, right?

As a result, I shall have no snark today for the likes of Stephanie Pratt and Lo Bosworth, even though they’re gallivanting around filming their “reality” show, which I hate, in these photos. Instead, I will merely identify their handbags for you: Stephanie is sporting a Gerard Darel Fringe Hobo in a pretty purple suede, and Lo is carrying on of her old favorites, a Chanel Classic Flap Bag. See, that wasn’t even hard to do! I’m feeling so positive that I just don’t know what to do with myself.

Before we go any further, does Chanel bags website make anyone else sort of dizzy and motion sick, or am I just way too sensitive to that sort of thing? Websites where brands make their bags run frantically from side to side make my head spin, and that website structure makes me find something else to look at almost immediately.

I haven’t seen the bag in person, so I can’t comment with full knowledge about the rubberized finish, but the matte effect is a welcome change from the python that I normally see, which is almost always glossy. Flat black has an edgy, modern quality to it that the brand’s bags have lacked over the past season or two (at least in my estimation), and the finish might have done a bit to make the delicate scales more durable as well. Sigh. I want to like this look, but I just can’t. I really can’t. Rachel Bilson is such a cute girl and she is usually spot on with her casual cool looks. However, there is something completely amiss with what she has going on here.

Rachel was spotted leaving a hair salon in Beverly Hills, CA carrying a gorgeous Chanel Flap Bag. It’s not often we see celebs carrying brown Chanel bags, so I give her a high-five for that. I also like her cozy looking sweater; it makes me want one too. But that is about all I like.

 Her boyfriend jeans make her look way short. I’m not quite sure if it is because she’s rolled up the bottom of the jeans or perhaps it is because they are too baggy for her petite frame. At the same time, if that is all I can complain about, seems like her outfit isn’t that bad after all.

We may not have seen Mischa Barton on TV lately, but that doesn’t mean she has stopped looking fabulous. Here she is spotted at some place in her luxurious golden blouse finished with an equally luxurious Chanel 2.55 bag.

I’m just not feeling that kind of hairdo (if that’s what she calls it), because it somehow made her look older than her age. Instead of showing the beauty of her face, her hair just covers it all up. Good thing it doesn’t cover the bag anyway. Seriously speaking, the Chanel bags has always been a choice among many other celebrities so it shouldn’t be surprising seeing her with such a bag.

This is indeed an iconic Chanel purses done in black quilted leather design. It is combined with some gold-tone hardware, which simply makes its totality look even more luxurious. Of course, it also has that classic handle, done in chain and leather combination.
